General
Your play couch consists of 11 pieces (made up of 6 different shapes).
The bottom of the couch is made of two arches, two semi-circles and two large rectangles. The top layer of the couch is one large foldable rectangle. There are two triangle backrests and two small rectangle arm rests.
Each play piece is lined with a protective water-proof liner.
When in couch position the length of the couch is 66" inches long and 33" inches deep. Including the backrests it reaches 19.5" inches tall. Without the triangle backrests and just the two base layers it is 10.5" inches tall.
Ps. It fits a single bed sheet quite well!
Yes. We have a one year Warranty. And if you need a new cover piece after the warranty period has lapsed, we have a Replacement Cover Shop.
We are using a 1.8 density with a 50 ILD on all pieces. 1.8 density is standard for residential furniture. 50 ILD is fairly firm to the touch but still comfortable enough to sit on as a couch. Want to understand more about foam density/ILD? Read our blog post .
Our play couch is made in Canada from domestic and imported materials. More specifically, our foam is manufactured and cut here in Canada while our fabric is cut and sewn overseas. Product design, product assembly and packaging happen in Canada.
No. We have performed testing with a certified third party lab that our fabrics are PFAS free.
Care & Use
We recommend washing your covers right away before use.
Wash covers by themselves in the washing machine in cold water and hang to dry. Keep the zippers closed in the wash and open for drying.
The white inner liners stay on the cushions to protect the foam from liquids but can go in a delicate cycle and hang dry if needed.
We recommend opening your play couch within a few weeks of delivery to let the foam decompress. You can use the play couch right away.
The exterior fabric is constructed using a soft microsuede material that is soft to touch and provides just enough friction for great builds. The fabric is Oeko-Tex® certified which means it has been tested to be free of harmful substances and is safe for human health.
The inner liner that lies between the microsuede exterior and the interior foam consists of a fabric that is 50% polyester and 50% polyurethane. Polyurethane is completely safe for humans and is often used to waterproof outdoor fabrics like jackets.
We use CertiPUR-US® certified foam which means it is made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP and TCEP flame retardants, heavy metals, mercury and lead, formaldehyde, phthalates regulated by the CPSC, and is low VOC emissions (less than 0.5 parts per million).
There is no PFAS in our fabrics.
We have conducted independent safety testing with a third party laboratory.
