Privacy is very important to Barumba Play Inc. (“the Company”, also referred to herein as “we”). We appreciate your confidence and take our responsibility to uphold your privacy very seriously.
Accountability for Personal Information
The Company is responsible for any personal information we hold. The Company and those who act on our behalf must abide by federal privacy law, this policy and any applicable procedures. All Company employees are trained on their privacy obligations.
Identifying Purposes for Collecting, Using and Disclosing Personal Information
At or before the time personal information is collected, the Company will identify the purposes for which the information is collected. The primary purpose of collection is to facilitate your purchase of a product sold by the Company. We may also collect your information so that you can receive updates about our products, your purchase(s), and any news about the Company. We may also collect, use and disclose information for marketing purposes if consent is provided or the information is non-identifying. Finally, we may disclose information to our legal and accounting professionals, on a need-to-know basis, to receive their services.
Information is collected directly from the individual which may include activity on our website or social media. If visitors choose to leave comments on the Company site we may review them and use them to inform business decisions.
We may send you email and other communications related to this site, your use of our site and the status of your account, which may include site updates and responses to your inquiries. In addition, we may send periodic surveys and other communications, all of which you can opt out of receiving by changing your notification preferences. We will never spam you and will honour your request to be removed from our email list(s).
We sincerely appreciate the feedback we receive from our users. Your feedback, both positive and negative, is reviewed so we can continue to monitor and improve our offerings. We may also share testimonials in our marketing materials but will do so without including personally identifiable information unless we have expressly received your permission to do so. If you would like your testimonial removed, please contact us.
We will be required to share your shipping address with our shipping partners to ensure your product arrives at your requested location. If you do not consent to this disclosure, we will likely be unable to facilitate your purchase.

Generally speaking, the Company requires consent in order to collect, use, or disclose personal information. However, there are some cases where the Company may collect, use or disclose personal information without consent as permitted or required by law.

We do not disclose the specifics of this information publicly, but may share aggregated and anonymized versions of this information, for example, in website and customer usage trend reports. We may use your personal details to contact you with updates about our website, products and services, along with promotional content that we believe may be of interest to you. If you wish to opt out of receiving promotional content, you can follow the “unsubscribe” instructions provided alongside any promotional correspondence from us. We will never share your email address with any third parties, except those that work directly with the Company.

The Company limits the amount and type of personal information collected to that which is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified. This means we will not ask you questions unless they are truly needed.
When you buy a product from the Company, credit card information is processed by a third-party credit card merchant. The Company does not have access to your credit card information.
Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention of Personal Information
Personal Information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as permitted or required by law. Personal information will be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes. Personal information that is no longer required to fulfill the identified purposes will be destroyed, erased, or anonymized.
Accuracy of Personal Information
The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that information is accurate, complete, and up to date. You are responsible to advise us of any changes to your personal information which may be relevant to the services we provide.
Safeguards for Personal Information
The Company has put in place safeguards for the personal information we hold, which include:

We shred and delete documents containing personal information that we no longer require (and we rarely use paper anyway). We use different passwords for various accounts. We assess security before utilizing any software.
The Company requires anyone who collects, uses or discloses personal information on our behalf to be aware of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personal information. This is done through measures such as the signing of confidentiality agreements, privacy training, and contractual means. The Company takes steps to ensure that the Personal Information we hold is protected against theft, loss and unauthorized use or disclosure. Care is used in the disposal or destruction of personal information, to prevent unauthorized parties from gaining access to the information.
We only retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide a product or service, or to improve our offerings in future. While we retain this data, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and cannot guarantee absolute data security. If you request your personal information be deleted, or where your personal information becomes no longer relevant to our operations, we will erase it from our system within a reasonable timeframe. As mentioned previously, the Company does not store your credit card information.
Openness about Personal Information
Information about the Company’s policies and practices relating to the management of personal information are available to the public, including contact information for our privacy officer, to whom complaints or inquiries can be made; the process for obtaining access to personal information we hold, and making requests for its correction; a description of the type of personal information we hold, including a general account of our uses and disclosures; and a description of how an individual may make a complaint to the Company or to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
As our user, you have the right to be informed about how your data is collected and used. You are entitled to know what data we collect about you, and how it is processed. You are entitled to correct and update any personal information about you, and to request this information be deleted. You are entitled to restrict or object to our use of your data, while retaining the right to use your personal information for your own purposes. Individual Access to Personal Information
Individuals may make written requests to have access to their records of personal information. The Company will respond to an individual’s request within reasonable timelines and costs to the individual, as governed by legislation. The Company will take reasonable steps to ensure that the requested information is made available in a form that is understandable. Individuals who successfully demonstrate the inaccuracy or incompleteness of their personal information may request that we amend their information. In some cases, instead of making a correction, individuals may ask to amend a statement of disagreement to their file.
Please Note: In certain situations, the Company may not be able to provide access to all the personal information we hold about an individual. Exceptions to the right of access requirement will be in accordance with law. Examples may include information that could reasonably be expected to result in a risk of serious harm or the information is subject to legal privilege.
Challenging Compliance with the Company’s Privacy Policies and Practices
The Company will investigate all complaints. If a complaint is found to be justified, the Company will take appropriate measures to respond. The Company reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The Company will receive and respond to complaints or inquiries about our policies and practices relating to the handling of personal information. We will inform individuals who make inquiries or lodge complaints of other available complaint procedures.
Limits of Our Policy
This privacy policy only covers the Company’s own collection, use, storage, destruction and disclosure of data. We only work with partners, affiliates and third-party providers whose privacy policies align with ours, however, we cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices. Our website or social media may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and policies of those sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy practices.
